A LOT better than before, improvements still needed
I downloaded day one and like a vast amount of people stopped playing after 6 months. 5 months ago I got back into PoGo as a lot of my coworkers play it. The improvements are great. I still think though there are many many more simple additions that can make the game even better. Please cache the Pokédex pictures, I don’t even know why I have to suggest this. Seems like a no brainer. Raids - need a waiting room that is visible to people in your map area (not right on top of gym) that you can wait in BEFORE spending a gym pass. While in the waiting room you can ping your friends to join you (or even nearby players). I know PvP is in the works but additional gameplay is needed. The monotonous grind can definitely get old, and although new generations of Pokémon subdue this, it will eventually lead to decline in players. Mini games or additional tasks/achievements would be great. Legendary gyms is a great idea, having defensive legendaries like Regiice is almost pointless besides the dex entry. This gym could only house legendaries and you get good loot for batting legendaries. This would add another element of leveling your defensive legendaries that are non-existent in the meta. Having gyms with Pve gym leaders you need to defeat like a gauntlet (similar to the gameboy games) would be awesome!! These aren’t difficult additions, please listen to us Niantic!!!
Absolutely love Pokémon Go!!!
I have been playing Pokémon Go with my two sons since it first came out. It’s fun I love this game (addictive) and gets us out of the house doing something different and interacting together/bonding. I play from the time I wake up, while getting my kids ready for school lol and when they leave for school I take a few hours to myself each day to walk around and play, take down gyms and catch Pokémon right up till I go to sleep. What stinks is I just joined different Pokémon groups today on Facebook from around the world to add friends. Unfortunately I have reacted my limit of (200) friends. I play with many people and run into new people on a daily basis. In my town where I live a lot of people play it everyday. It would be great if the developer of the Pokémon Go App game could make it so all of us players could have 1,000 or more friends added so we can continue to interact with more people. Hoping their will be an update soon for more friends. Thank you for your time.
*Edit* I would also like to add from others that has just made a good point in the group I’m following after I posted on Facebook Pokémon Worldwide group that I can no longer except friend requests due to only allowed 200 friends. Others added that they would like to send more than 10 gifts a day and not be given a limit on the gifts, also be allowed to have a chat on the game to communicate with others and around the world.
Great Game BUT........
This is a wonderful game, great to get people out and moving I definitely recommend it for people who live in populated areas and towns BUT if you live in the rural areas and the country sides of this country where service is spotty and where they placed most all the stops and gyms there is NO SERVICE then playing this game is almost worthless. As a player moving from the city to the country it almost leaves me no choice but to quit or almost forget about the game, sad because I’m a paying player. I read how Niantic was working hard at trying to come up with a resolution for RURAL players but every update and addition to the game benefits populated players. Even trying to contact help support and Niantic is a waste of time, all you will get is a return email where someone will just copy and paste the same answers over and over again, if you cared to do something about this critical issue then maybe taking a moment and conversing with the rural players may help. I hate to have to leave this game but Niantic does not seem to care if they lose their rural players and that is so sad as if you maybe took the time to work with rural players the issue could be resolved, I say to the populated players get out and have an awesome time playing this game and don’t complain about adding a couple bucks to the game it is a lot cheaper then a night out to the movies and a lot more fun with the family!
